Ohio State football tickets 2024: Where to buy seats for all home and away games (2024)

COLUMBUS, Ohio – There is nothing quite like the experience of witnessing Ohio State football live. The passion. The pageantry. The expectations. Full season and single-game tickets are now on sale from major third-party sites for all games in the upcoming 2024 season.

Ohio State will open the campaign with an afternoon game at home against the University of Akron on Aug. 31, the first of three straight matchups in Columbus to begin the season.

It’s a small appetizer to a 12-game slate filled with riveting matchups, including a marquee encounter at the Oregon Ducks on Oct. 12. The Buckeyes will travel to Penn State’s Happy Valley on Nov. 2, which could initiate the traditional White Out at Beaver Stadium. The Iowa Hawkeyes will come to the Horsehoe on Oct. 5 after reaching the Big Ten title game last year.

Ohio State will also take part in a rare game at the Chicago Cubs’ Wrigley Field on Nov. 16 against the Northwestern Wildcats.

The main event of the regular season campaign will commence on Nov. 30, as Ohio State hosts Michigan in the latest rendition of “The Game.” The defending national champion Wolverines have won three straight matchups against the Buckeyes, shifting the rivalry landscape.

As of June 11, the cheapest tickets I found overall are $44 from SeatGeek and Vivid Seats for the home opener against Akron.

The cheapest road ticket is for $140 from Vivid Seats against Michigan State. The cheapest seat to Ohio State vs. Michigan is also from Vivid Seats at $291.

The best find for 2024 Ohio State season tickets (all home games) is from both StubHub and Viagogo for $1,665.

What teams will Ohio State football play this year?

The Buckeyes will play the following teams in the 2024 season:

Home: Akron, Western Michigan, Marshall, Iowa, Nebraska, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan

Away: Michigan State, Oregon, Penn State, Northwestern

Will Ohio State football have a Friday night Big Ten game in 2024?

No. FOX confirmed that Ohio State will be one of six Big Ten teams that will not play one of nine conference games on a Friday night. Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Penn State and Wisconsin also will not play on a Friday night.

How do I watch Ohio State football on FOX, Big Ten Network and ESPN?

Fans who have parted ways with their cable provider can catch the Buckeyes at no cost by taking advantage of streaming alternatives like FuboTV and DirecTV Stream, which both offer free trials. Sling TV has promotional offers for new customers.

How did Ohio State football do in 2023?

Ohio State’s 2023 season was filled with twists and turns as they again positioned themselves for a chance at the College Football Playoffs before rival Michigan shut the door for the third straight year. The Buckeyes suffered a follow-up loss in the Cotton Bowl to close another disappointing season, by their standards.

The Buckeyes will welcome back a slew of offensive playmakers, including star running back TreVeyon Henderson, emerging wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and key offensive lineman Donovan Jackson. The trio was eligible for the NFL Draft but elected to return for another year at Ohio State.

The defense returns with a physical mindset, guided by powerful defensive ends Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau. Defensive tackle Tyleik Williams and cornerbacks Jordan Hanco*ck and Denzel Burke reinforce the group known as B.I.A. while safety Lathan Ransom will also return.

Head coach Ryan Day’s seat may be getting warm after a third straight loss to the rival Wolverines enroute to their national championship. Sherrone Moore slides into his sights after Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh moved on to the NFL, but not before slaying the Buckeyes in the final years of his tenure at his alma mater. That’s a priceless feeling that he will never be able to replicate no matter how far the league takes him.

Day finds himself stuck on the wrong side of the rivalry. A fourth straight loss could spell the end of his time with the Buckeyes. That would be a startling turn of events, considering he will enter the 2024 season, his sixth, with an overall record of 56 wins and eight losses. He is 39-3 in Big Ten games. Day’s Buckeyes have ranked in the top three nationally in scoring in three different seasons.

After watching the Wolverines lose a large chunk of their championship roster to the NFL Draft, the Buckeyes have loaded up their roster with a reignited desire to beat the team up North.

Ohio State welcomed in a handful of impactful transfers, including safety Caleb Downs, center Seth McLaughlin and quarterback Julian Sayin, all from Alabama. Quinshon Judkins joined the fray from Ole Miss to solidify one of the top running back rooms in the country after losing Dallan Hayden. Quarterback Will Howard has also made the move from Kansas State and is looking to push for the starting job with Devin Brown.

Last year’s starting quarterback Kyle McCord transferred out to Syracuse after a junior campaign of posting 24 touchdowns and 3,170 passing yards while throwing six interceptions. He recorded the eighth-best QBR in the country at 83.8.

Continuing their elite recruiting, Ohio State signed the No. 5 class in the country in 2024 per 247Sports’ composite rankings. They were one of four programs in the country to sign at least four five-star players.

The Buckeyes will have nearly two dozen freshman on the roster, including top-ranked wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. His playmaking ability is far beyond his years. Look for him to get some early flashes in the opening three-game slate.

The schedule boasts a fairly friendly eight homes games and four road matchups, including two telling encounters where Oregon and Penn State will try to derail their perfection.

But it all comes down to that fateful day in November.
